Managing Partner at IOA to Attend Global Wellness Institute’s Roundtable Discussion

Christopher Labrecque, Insurance Office of America’s Managing Partner of Employee Benefits, has been invited to participate in Global Wellness Institute’s Roundtable Discussion at their global headquarters in Miami, Florida on September 16. The Global Wellness Institute (GWI) is a non-profit educational foundation, with a main focus on establishing international think tanks for the goal of educating both the public and private sectors about preventative health and wellness measures. GWI informs and connects key stakeholders that have an influence and reach to impact citizens globally. By educating these business leaders through Roundtable Discussions, insight is gained and more informed and socially responsible decisions tend to follow.

As one of fifteen participants, Chris has been hand selected to participate in a group of elite business and thought leaders joined together for the specific purpose to discuss the question of “Workplace Wellness: What Can We Accomplish Together that We Cannot Accomplish Alone”. The Roundtable Discussion will be co-moderated by Susie Ellis, Chairman and CEO of Global Wellness Institute, and Renee Moorefield, CEO of Wisdom Works.

Earlier this year in February, GWI partnered with Scientific American to host “The Science of Wellness: Hype or Hope” Roundtable Discussion in New York. “At that event, we explored…the impact of research and science on everything from the design of work environments to the lighting in our homes to our own personal health.” Ellis explained to Chris. Although several interesting findings were recorded, Ellis and Moorefield agreed that the question warranted more time and planned the upcoming Roundtable Discussion to encourage further discussion.

Ellis is very optimistic about the upcoming Roundtable, and stated “Our proprietary research, our deep experience in the wellness arena, and our global culture of collaboration put us in a unique position to drive the thinking on some very important topics for an industry with unprecedented momentum and potential.”
