Regional President

Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Insurance and Economic Development from the University of South Carolina in 1987, Rob began his insurance career with State Farm Insurance. In 1990, he joined the Davis-Garvin Agency. During his tenure, his positions included Sales, Commercial Lines Manager, Marketing Manager, Sales Manager and Vice President. His responsibilities included Business Development, Agency Acquisition Development, Carrier Relations Development and Agency Management.

In 2000, Rob joined Carolina Insurance Consultants (CIC). As a partner with CIC, he opened and managed the Columbia, SC, branch. In 2003, Rob acquired the Columbia operation of CIC and merged it with Insurance Office of America (IOA). Rob was appointed to the IOA Board of Directors in 2008 and named Regional President in 2013 responsible for New York down to the Carolina operations of IOA.

Past roles include: Member of the IOA Advisory Council 2005-2007, Chairman of IOA Advisory Council 2007. He was awarded IOA Agent of the Year 2007 and Chairman Club member in 2006, 2007, 2011, 2012 and 2013. In addition, the Columbia branch was awarded IOA Small Branch of the Year 2005, 2006 and 2009 and awarded large branch of the year 2012.

Rob received his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1994. He is a Certified RiskScoreĀ® Consultant and is a co-owner of Coral BK. Coral BK is the patent holder of I-Verify, a web-based system to electronically verify insurance coverage for all parties. He is actively involved with his church, community, and charitable organizations, social and governmental agendas and is the managing partner of Oak Development Company LLC, Post Oak Development LLC and Charlex Holdings LLC.
