Larry McLean

Larry began his insurance career in Orlando in 1992 at the age of 23, and within a few years started his own insurance agency. During that time Larry was voted “Top 5” by FAIA for the Producer of the Year Award; was ranked 13th in the country with Zurich Insurance Small Construction for new business written. After 10 years of running his own agency, Larry was ready for the next chapter, merging with Sihle Insurance Group in 2005, joining forces with a leading agency offering all that is needed to compete with the “best of the best”. In January 2013 Larry joined the Executive Team as Director of Sales and Agency Relations, and in 2014 was promoted to Director of Commercial Lines. Larry’s gift of communication, ability to understand people, and attention to detail helped further develop Sihle’s brand while continuing to build upon the strong corporate culture 40 years in the making. Since Larry’s joining in 2005, Sihle Insurance Group has earned such accolades with carriers such as Top Producing Agency in the country, Top New Business Small Markets, Largest Volume Agency in Florida, and Most Percentage of Growth. The leadership team helped drive Sihle to the “Top 100” Independent Agencies nationwide while becoming the largest family owned and managed agency in the state. During his time working closely with the Sihle family on Agency matters, he continued to build his current book of business. These years of Larry’s life were great personally and professionally and equipped him for his next chapter. Larry joined Insurance Office of America in 2016, jumping from number 70th in the Nation to 13th! Bigger is not necessarily better, but the leadership, values, opportunities, and services available along with a passionate vision for growth here at IOA was just the right fit for Larry. Larry holds the following active license appointments: 2-14, 2-15, 2-16, 2-18, 2-20 and 2-40 which allows him to provide solutions and perform in numerous areas of insurance.
