Darren Funk

Mr. Funk is a trusted commercial property and casualty insurance broker and risk management advisor.  His expertise has served regional, national, and international clients that include not-for-profit, private, and public traded enterprise.

Darren has over 12 years of experience in the risk management, insurance, and investment brokerage industry.  He manages P&C insurance placements exclusively for commercial enterprise. His expertise is applied to general industry, but focus includes aviation, construction, energy, manufacturing, and professional service.

Prior to joining IOA, Mr. Funk worked at a large full service insurance brokerage in the Intermountain West, American International Group (AIG) along with other national and regional P&C insurance carriers.

Darren is a proud member of the Eagle Scout Alumni Association – Boy Scouts of America and local scout troop, Professional Liability Underwriting Society, and Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society. Darren attended the University of Utah where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in 2002. Darren is also a Certified Risk Manager (2012) and a Certified Insurance Counselor (2007).

In his spare time, Darren likes to attend community events, go cycling, play golf, travel, and water ski. Darren has dual citizenship in both the United States and Canada, but grew up in Northern California on a walnut farm with 7 siblings.
