IOA USA Triathlon Logo LockupCOLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 21, 2020)— USA Triathlon today announced it has partnered with Insurance Office of America (IOA), a national broker based out of Longwood, Florida, as the organization’s Official Insurance Broker through 2024.

IOA will cover athletes while serving as the official insurance provider of USA Triathlon-sanctioned events, as well as for USA Triathlon-certified clubs that elect to acquire club insurance. IOA will also directly extend special offers to USA Triathlon members through the IOA Marketplace as well as via e-communications and social media promotions throughout the year.

IOA has extensive experience in the sports industry, also serving as the Official Insurance Broker of USA Swimming, the National Football League’s Jacksonville Jaguars, the National Basketball Association’s Orlando Magic, Major League Soccer’s Orlando City Soccer Club and US Club Soccer.

“Insurance Office of America is excited to contribute to the growth of this sport through its partnership with USA Triathlon,” said Heath Ritenour, IOA chairman and CEO. “As the national governing body’s provider for both insurance and risk management solutions, our goal is to help create greater risk resiliency for the organization and its members.”

“Our partners at IOA bring industry-leading expertise and cost-effective solutions that are specific to the needs of sports organizations,” said Chuck Menke, USA Triathlon Chief Marketing Officer. “We look forward to providing our constituents with access to world-class coverage and customer service through IOA, so they can place their focus on operating successful events as race directors, or achieving their personal goals in multisport as athletes.”

“As both a triathlete and career professional, I’m excited to combine 30 years of experience and passion in this sport with my capacity as an IOA Risk Advisor to help USA Triathlon protect its brand, reputation, bottom line and most importantly its people and members like myself,” said Glenn Humphrey, Commercial Insurance Risk Advisor for IOA.

Access to an affordable, comprehensive insurance program is a key benefit for race directors of USA Triathlon-sanctioned events. IOA’s coverage protects race directors, athletes, volunteers, sponsors and race staff, and includes both general liability and athlete excess medical coverage.
