LONGWOOD, Fla. (March 1, 2021) – Insurance Office of America (IOA) is pleased to announce that seven of its brokers have been named Risk & Insurance 2021 Power Brokers®. Each year, winners are chosen from hundreds of nominees based upon their knowledge, creativity, resourcefulness, customer service, and most important, client recommendations.
Congratulations go out to IOA’s seven winners who have been recognized for their outstanding work and customer support across five categories of insurance:
- Spencer Allen, Jr. – Employee Benefits
- Matt Engle – Nonprofit
- Alka Manaktala – Hospitality
- Howard Massey – Hospitality
- Billy McQueeney – Hospitality
- Steve Miller– Technology
- Bo Shaw – Real Estate
Additionally, two IOA brokers were recognized as Power Broker finalists for two categories:
“We couldn’t be more proud of the accomplishments of this team during one of the most challenging years imaginable,” said IOA Chairman and CEO Heath Ritenour. “Our main goal is to focus on the risks unique to each client so they can focus on the future of their business. For this team of professional advisors to accomplish this recognition shows that they know how to provide expert-level guidance and support no matter the market conditions.”
To attain this high honor, brokers must stand out in three key areas over the previous year. They must have a creative, entrepreneurial sense for finding solutions for their clients; take pride in their level of industry knowledge; and must be outstanding in their delivery of customer service.
Winners are selected by a team of 15 Risk & Insurance editors and writers based on the strength of the testimonials they provide. Each applicant provides client testimony for consideration, and the process takes several months to complete.
