Terry Crawford began his career in the insurance industry in 1964, as an Independent Insurance Agent, selling commercial property and casualty insurance in Geneva, Ohio and went on to own his own agency in Ohio.
From 1964 to 1989 he serviced a variety of clients from hospitals, country clubs, manufacturing risks, contractors, and agribusiness risks.In 1989, Terry moved to South Florida to start a branch office for Sid Banack Insurance specializing in agribusiness insurance. In 2004 he joined Insurance Office of America (IOA) as Vice President, where he continues to serve as senior agribusiness specialist.
Terry attended Avon Old Farms prep school in Avon, CT and went on to earn his BS ans BA at Youngstown University in Youngstown, OH. He also holds the professional desgination of AAI (acredited adviser of insurance) from the Insurance Institute of America. He received the "Most Outstanding Young Insurance Agent of Ohio" award in 1969. He has taught property and casualty insurance courses at Garfield Senior College in Painesville, OH.
Terry once served on the board of directors for the Independent Insurance Agents of Ohio (1971-1975), and was elected President of EBS (1988-1990) and NAMSU (1991-1993) - both of which are independent agency automation user groups. Terry's many years of work in the insurance industry make him an expert in his field and a most respected agent among the agricultural insurance business.
