Chris Labrecque

President, Employee Benefits Services Division

Christopher Labrecque serves as president of the employee benefits services division. Prior to his current role, he served as managing partner of the employee benefits division and vice president of the IOA Northeast benefits division. Chris has over 20 years of experience in the insurance and benefits industry and was previously an owner of Norwood Life Associates in Long Branch, New Jersey. Over the years, Chris has worked with clients of all industries in both the public and private sector, and he currently holds the professional designation of certified insurance counselor (CIC).

Chris has taken an active role as a consumer advocate in the health insurance industry working with hospitals and insurance carriers in an effort to deliver more effective results to the communities IOA serves. He has served as a member of the board of trustees for Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey, which employs over 4,000 people. At Monmouth Medical, Chris also served as a member of the wellness committee and chairman of the human resources committee. In 2014, he was nominated the Most Innovative Broker of the Year by the Institute for Healthcare Consumerism.

Chris also serves on the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB) Council of Employee Benefits Executives as an advisory board member. The advisory board represents the benefits business interests of The Council’s member firms and guides its benefits initiatives, including targeted advocacy efforts and market intelligence.
