On behalf of the Board of Directors of Insurance Office of America, Greg Masters and Chip Meyers have been promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer [CFO] for the respective IOA companies they represent. Greg will become the CFO and newest Board Member of IOA Group, which is the entity under which many of our subsidiary operations, including Eagle, reside. Chip will become the CFO and newest Board Member for our more traditional commercial insurance operations, Insurance Office of America [IOA].
Chip joined Insurance Office of America in 2014 as its Controller & Treasurer. Before joining IOA, he began his career in the insurance industry where he served for 5 years as the Assistant Corporate Controller of Brown & Brown, Inc. Chip has also held Controller-level positions in the real estate development and legal services industries. He completed his BA in Business Administration at the University of Florida and earned a Master of Accounting degree from Nova Southeastern University. Chip has been a licensed Florida CPA since 2008.
Greg joined Insurance Office of American in September of 2012 as Vice President, IOA Group Controller. Greg attended the University of Central Florida where he earned his BSBA in Accounting and his Masters of Science in Taxation. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Florida. Greg began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC where he worked in Audit & Assurance Services. After PwC, Greg worked at Universal Orlando. At Universal Orlando he started as the Manager of Internal Audit and then transitioned to the Sr. Manager of Financial Reporting. Greg left Universal Orlando to join IOA.
Both Greg and Chip have demonstrated a unique blend of humility and forthrightness as they have served alongside Heath Ritenour, IOA’s Chief Executive Officer [CEO], and other members of the leadership team to help elevate IOA’s efforts to pursue excellence at both the regional and national levels. Their combination of front line experience in both large national insurance brokerage accounting operations along with top (4) public accounting industry experience will continue to provide the company with a formidable resource as IOA presses ahead into our next generation of success as a company.
